Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday all!

Although I am missing the relaxing sea, sun and sand in Mexico, I am so excited to be home this weekend to get caught up on some "Trishy" time.  This weekend will be full of book reading, blog commenting, relaxing, and sunning...what a long, tough week it's been getting settled back into reality!

I knew things were looking up today when I started out with ice cream for breakfast. For some reason the Vanilla Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches were calling my name from the freezer. You should try it sometime, seriously!

Since I haven't had time to leave much comment love this week, I thought I'd share with you some posts that I have simply adored.  A few from blogs that are my daily reads, and a couple recent finds too.

***

Jen over at I'm a NOLA Girl had a beautiful post today, featuring the newly released "Be the One" video campaign, a petition in support of restoring the Gulf Coast.  In light of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill disaster, Women of the Storm is rallying to restore America’s Gulf coast now and for future generations.  I just love the way she illustrated the message with her beautiful images, especially this teeny tiny sea turtle!

***

Miss Julie over at Brown Eyed Belle and I were totally on the same page this week for Wordless Wednesday, channeling our inner Country girls!  Run over and see her sweetness here, she even had the Deana Carter song, "Strawberry Wine" set to accompany her post.  I was totally seventeen when that song came out, and listening to that song brings back great summer memories.

I could easily gush and rave over every single item that the lovely DJ over at Dustjacket Attic posts, but this post "Down the Aisle" stopped me dead in my tracks.  Positively breathtaking, each and every romantic shot!   If you missed her guest post while I was on vacay, check it out here, it was so precious, she knows me so well!  If you don't know her, please go visit, she has the most beautiful blog and is just wonderful!

A fun new find this week that I stumbled upon, Jenna over at Eat Drink Pretty has such a delightful blog full of fun foodie and party planning tips!  I could spend hours getting inspired by her beautiful archives, you really must run over and check her out.  I loved this Carnation Ball tutorial for a sweet "Breakfast at Tiffany's" themed bridal shower that she hosted.  Looks super easy and so pretty, go check her out!

***

Erin at Erin Ever After posted a super fun San Diego summer party this week, complete with hay bales, yummy catered food, and old summertime movies on the big screen.  I would have loved to be able to attend, what a beautiful spread and festive party!

Remember my lace tote from the Container Store?  Look closer - a perfect basket for the cheerful yellow petunias and pink geraniums!

The always beautiful and inspiring Daniella at Dress, Design & Decor featured these cheerful photos today, which have me completely smitten and dizzy with golden dreamy thoughts of summer.  Aren't those rings to die for?

***

The lovely Leslie at A Creative Mint hosted a birthday party for her four year old daughter recently and shared some gorgeous summery images from the festivities here, including these exquisite Icelandic Poppies.  I just love her eye for photography, color and beautiful things.

And last, but certainly not least, my absolute favorite post of the week.  The amazing Rebecca at Ezra Pound Cake is one of my very favorite foodie blogs.  Although I don't comment often, I am always jotting down her recipes and love her food photography.  Rebecca knocked my socks off last year with her Mad Men Premiere Menu, which I know I have sent many of you to see, you can check it out here, a few favorites below.

Pete’s Pan-Fried Onion Dip with Utz Potato Chips

FDDT Steak Kebabs (Full Don Draper Treatment - heehee!)

Well, my prayers were answered and yesterday she released this year's menu, just in time for the big Season 4 Premiere this weekend.  For those fellow Mad Men followers, you will LOVE THIS.  I knew I was once again smitten when the first recipe she released was "Joan's Fresh Whiskey Sours" - (Rebecca's a bourbon girl too. Yippee!)

I won't spoil any of the surprises she has in store, but seriously, run now to check her out!  You will not be disappointed!

A million thanks to all who played along for yesterday's Pink & Green Thursday; it was so nice to be back!  I can't wait to catch up and read all of your beautiful posts over the next two days.

Stay cool, eat some ice cream (for breakfast if you'd like, I won't tell!), and have the most wonderful weekend!! xoxo
