Baby's First Christmas

Without a doubt, this has been the best Christmas we have ever had!  What made it the most special was having our sweet Stella Rose.  Truth be told, we still haven't opened all of the presents under the tree (we like to stretch out the holidays!)  But it's not about those gifts under the tree...we are just so thankful for the wonderful year we have had and the memories we have made.  Those are the best gifts of all!

We had a lovely and quiet Christmas Eve at home after a beautiful Christmas Mass.  Stella was an angel during church!  We tucked her in after reading The Night Before Christmas, and I am certain she had visions of sugarplums in he pretty little head.  Our Christmas morning was a busy one as we prepared our Christmas dinner for the family.  The tables were all set with the most beautiful cookie favors from the one and only Amy of One Preppy Cookie.  She is my go-to for all holidays and celebrations!

Our meal came out absolutely fabulous with delicious appetizers and desserts brought by family members.  I was so proud of my dinner that I cooked all by myself!  A delicious herb roasted turkey, mashed yukon potatoes, homemade macaroni and cheese, baby greens, pears, and pecans tossed in balsamic vinaigrette in parmesean cheese cups, brown sugar glazed carrots, and haricots verts with caramelized shallots and toasted almonds.  On the bar we had delicious champagne and Chambord...so tasty!

Our home was full of warmth, love, laughter and cheer as we celebrated throughout the afternoon opening gifts, watching Stella's eyes twinkle and listening to her sweet baby giggles, and toasting to all of our blessings.

I hope that your holidays were full of magic, wonder and excitement, and wish you all a healthy and happy New Year ahead!
Cheers!!
xoxo

    1. Amy you know you are my favorite!!!!!! I miss you and wish we were hanging out over the holidays. Stella has grown up so much since the last time we were together! My camera is an older Nikon D60...I have a couple lenses for it but I mainly shoot on auto with the kit lens because I haven't had the time to really take any classes or learn how to shoot in manual. Maybe one of these days...ha! :) Love ya!

    1. Oh Shelby will look so presh in the bonnets and bloomers...just to let you know the 0/6 month bloomers run really big. When we did Stella's photos at 4 months in them, they were falling off! They are just now starting to fit. It wouldn't hurt to order a size SM in the bonnet so she can grow into it. The first one I got was an XS but it's getting a little snug now at 6 mo. :) Kiss her for me!
